CYBERBULLYING HURTING KIDS

Imagine waking up every morning and knowing when you get to school no one is going to talk to you because of what happened on social media last night. When you go to school and no one sits by you in lunch, you sit all by yourself and everyone laughs at you. This happened to more than half of students (52%).

Kids and teens around the world are getting cyber bullied everyday. Staff and administrators are  trying to help this problem. Kids are crying their selfs to sleep every night. Kids and teens are cutting themselves and getting into mental hospitals. Imagine you being a parent to one of these kids that are getting cyber bullied.

Some of the students that got interviewed said that they all have seen teens getting cyber bullied or got bullied. Students thinks that we can stop bullying by the people that run the apps taking control. Nayeli said, "Cyber bullying is awful and it should stop because it's getting out of hand!" Students say that people who bully other people do it on social media because it's easier to say rather than saying it to their faces. Krystal said "There is no way you could stop cyber bullying because no matter what you try to do people are always going to have negative comments towards another person."

"Cyber bullying is the use of technology to harass, threaten, embarrass, or target another person. By definition, it occurs among young people." This is true because mostly teens and kids get cyber bullied on this internet. This happens to kids because the kids are still in school and there is drama in School and the students bring the drama home to the internet which causes cyber bullying.


   FALCON FOULS

       Last year Heritage middle school started these pink slips called falcon fouls. There little pink slips of terror. If you get four you get a twenty five minute detention. The reason they started falcon fouls is because students  would do things that you are not suppose to do and they would not get punished for what they did. Reason you would get falcon fouls is for not doing homework, out of dress, no id, not listening, chewing gum ect.
     Kids get a lot a detentions because these slips of terror. You also have to call your parents and tell them you a have a detention and the reasons why you have a detention. Every quarter you start fresh with zero falcon fouls. These falcon fouls are considered warnings. These falcon fouls are very stressing they also have students stressed. When ever teachers pull the slips of terror out all students get scared thinking they might get one.
     A student at HMS was shocked when she heard the news. She exclaimed,"Why do we have these pink papers of terror? I don't want any of these falcon fouls!" After a while students have got use to falcon fouls all you need to do is do your homework and listen to the teacher and the school rules and you will be good and won't get one of their fouls. Another student at HMS said "I've been use too them since last year but there's no need for them."
    Students have realized that it has changed them and it helps them stay on track and doing there homework. A girl at HMS said, "These fouls help me stay on track and do my homework." Students are now more understanding with falcon fouls because now it is helping stay up with school work and stay on track.

Worst day of my life


     It was a very nice summer day, and the sun was shining in my bedroom window. I woke up and looked at my phone. Cathy texted me to come to her block party. I got out of bed and walked out of my room and my mom was in the bathroom getting ready for work. I asked my mom if she would take me to Cathy's house for her block party. My mom ends saying "yeah".
Once I get ready my mom took me to Cathy's house. When I got to Cathy's house we ate  some food and sat in her room. We were waiting until Lizzy came. Once Lizzy gets to Cathy's house we went to the park and Chris came. After a while we went back to the block party.
Sydni my sister ended up showing up to hang out with Cassandra Cathy's sister. Cathy, Chris, Lizzy and I went into the jumpy house. There was a wall and Chris was on the other side and Chris jumped and hit me on my head with his head. After a while my head started hurting a lot. Cathy tells Chris and Lizzy to go back to the park.
Cathy took me into her house and then Cathy realized she told Lizzy to hold her iPod. She wanted to go find them to get her iPod from them. I left my phone inside Cathy's house because my phone was dead. Cathy didn't have a phone so we couldn't call them and we didn't know what park they were at.
Cathy and I started walking to the park the park wasn't far at all it was right across the street. Once we got to the park there were a bunch of people there. There was little kids running around and playing. Once Cathy and I looked around for a little bit we realized they weren't there. Cathy and I go to cross the street to go to the other park. Cathy ran across the street and I stayed but I was a little in the street. A car was coming when Cathy ran across and it swerves not to hit Cathy.
BOOM!! It hit me Cathy turned around and I was laying on the floor in the street and the car ran into a pole. The guy got out the car and started to run. Everyone from the park came running over to see if I was okay but I was unconscious. Cathy ran back home and Cathy was crying. She ran to find her mom and her mom was standing by the jumpy house. Cathy told  her "Samantha got hit by a car" my sister heard her say that a Cathy, her mom, her dad, and Sydni and Cassandra all came running over to the park.
They called the ambulance and my sister calls my mom and my dad and my older sister Shelbi. My mom leaves work but she couldn't drive because she was in shock so one of the people at my mom work took her. Once my mom got there she got me up I was scared, in shock, mad. My mom walked me to the ambulance I had blood everywhere. There was blood on my face, in my hair, my legs, my hands. My hair was wet cause they poured water on me.
Once the ambulance gets there I try to get up and my mom helps me up and I walked to the ambulance. Once I get to the hospital they put me in a room and I had a neck brace on and my family was there my Lizzy was waiting in the waiting room to see if I was okay . After a while my sister starts crying. They did some X-Rays and they wouldn't listen to me when I told them I couldn't move my leg. I had cuts all over my knee my arm my face. They finally listen to me and they do ex-rays on my leg.
The next day they come into the room and tell me I broke my leg. My mom stayed with me the whole 3 days I was in there. My mom was very upset, in shock, my whole family was in shock.  The second day Cathy and her mom come to visit me and so does my old friend Delaney and her mom. They end up putting this huge cast on my leg. The next day the police come to see my side of the story. The therapy person comes and helps me learn how to use churches. That day I ended up going home and I was so happy cause I do not like the hospital. School already started by then and I wasn't able to go for 2 weeks.
 After a week I went to the hospital to get a real cast on and when they took the cast I had on off they did an x-Ray and they realized it was just really bad sprained and it was not broken. So they gave me a soft cast and I had that on for a while. Once my leg started to feel better I started going back to school and also took my leg soft cast off. I've learned I need to watch were I walk and me aware of my surroundings.
